The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC); Ibrahim Magu has been suspended by the President.
Magu was summoned for Investigation on Monday by a combined team of Department of State Services(DSS) personnel and policemen(NPF) at the Wuse II office of the EFCC to face an interagency committee investigating corruption allegations against him.
He was detained at the FCID in Area 10, Abuja, on Monday night by the orders of the Investigation committee that also questioned him on Tuesday morning.
Later today, we got some reports of his Suspension as the Acting boss of EFCC due to the allegations and ‘crimes’ leveled against him.
However, it was said that decisions will be taken later to decide on his case depending on the outcome of his investigations.
CMM also observed that after his ‘arrest’ yesterday, Nigerians reacted as though Nigeria is a ‘joke’
