An Assessment Report To Ease Lockdown-PTF

The chairman of the presidential task force on covid-19,boss Mustapha has said the president Major general Muhammed Buhari would receive more recommendations from PTF on Sunday,he said this on Thursday 28th may during the PTF briefing in Abuja saying report would be submitted in the next 72 hours after an assessment report on the eased lockdown.

Mustapha said its assessment on the impact of the measures put in place and further recommendation would be submitted to the president for a decision.The PTF chair and secretary to the government of the federation also emphasized the need for a drastic changein lifestyle and behavior of Nigerians because COVID-19 was long term and the cure is yet to be detected.This advisory is based on the fact that the battle is long term and that the cure is still in distant future,he advised Nigerians to follow this advisory diligently.

PTF national coordinator Sani Aliyu said the task force would be focusing on greater community mobilization by engaging over 800,000 volunteers.This strategy involves aggressive awareness campaign to ensure everyone in the community is armed with the information they need to prevent the spread of COVID-19 across the federation and how to protect themselves.

He also made it known that the campaign would cut across communities in the 774 local government areas at the grassroot by engaging partners such as National orientation agency,Nigeria red cross society,Yar’adua foundation and many more.

“This advisory is based on the fact that the battle is long term and the cure is still in the distant future, nearest being towards the end of 2021. We continue to urge our citizens to follow these advisories diligently,”.
