In order to maintain and reduce the number of victim to the novel Virus, The Deputy Governor of Kaduna Dr. Hadiza Balarabe extended the state lockdown by another two weeks.
The Deputy Governor stated that the continuation of the lock down will kick off by the first of June. However the partial lockdown to make possible plan and adjustment to permit the safe resumption of the pursuit of livelihoods in more sectors.
She also stated schools, places of worship and markets will remain closed under the adjusted orders while relevant government officials and agencies will be engaging with religious leaders, transport unions, traditional institutions, market unions, school proprietors and other stakeholders as may be identified from time to time, to discuss the conditions and circumstances for a safe reopening of the sectors.
After sixty day of total lockdown the government have decided to embark on two week partial lockdown, with adjustments to permit the reopening of certain sectors.
