The Senate had called for an emergency session after the presidency decided to flout their decision of suspending 774,000 job recruitment.
The joint national assembly had Suspended the recruitment of 774,000 jobs after there was a disagreement between Festus Keyamo; minister of state for labour and the national assembly.
The federal lawmakers had accused Keyamo of hijacking the recruitment exercise from the National Directorate of Employment, which got N52bn approval to carry out the programme
The president had told Festus Keyamo to proceed with the recruitment of the jobs despite National Assembly’s Suspension
The Senate President, during plenary on Wednesday, called for a closed session to discuss the development obviously to prevent media coverage which could worsen the relationship between them and executive arm of government over the issue.
